The SafeARC™ cable in\cable out unit is placed between the transformer and the Switchboard or MCC
This is a standalone solution is ideal for older installations and when the LV infraustructure is owned by others.
The benefit of this solution is that it can be installed in any suitable location and offers protection to the entire Switchboard\MCC.
Cable In\Out - Active Optical Detection
The SafeARC™ - Active unit employs the Eaton ARCON™ Quenching device to create a dead short circuit across the SafeARC™ busbars which are connected to the Switchboard or MCC.
The Eaton ARCON™ systems uses a combination of overcurrent and fibre optic sensors to detect an Arc Flash event.
The benefit of this solution is that low energy arc flash events within the Switchboard\MCC can be detected and interrupted before they become damaging high energy events.
